When I first seriously considered publishing “A Single Season” I had two dates envisioned for the release – the date of a World Series Game 7 or the day after the All Star Break. Unfortunately, we weren’t ready for the All Star Break this year, and waiting until July 2026 feels almost impossible. Also unfortunately, a possible Game 7 in this year’s World Series would be on November 1st – and my book comes out November 11th. So close, and yet…

But, here’s the thing – for most people, the baseball season ends when the Post Season starts because their team is done for the year (unfortunately, it looks like the Giants are heading that way too). So, for those people who’ve already started their off season, maybe having a new baseball book to read shortly into the off season won’t be a bad thing. And, for those people who can’t just get enough baseball, a book about the sport and the love of the game coming out just a week and a half after the season ends can’t be a bad thing either.
